Burial Question, Please - Burscough, Lancs

Beryl Report 9 Sep 2007 20:05

I wonder if anybody could point me in the right direction, please.

My grandparents (dad's parents) are buried at St John's Church, Burscough. Dad's not here now, but my mum thinks that somebody was already buried in the grave before my grandparents.

I've written to the church and although they have given me a grave number which I didn't have before, they are unable to help me further and there is no headstone.

Has anybody any ideas who I can contact next, please.

Thank you, from Beryl

Hi Beryl. I wonder if anyone on the
North Meols Family History Society could help.
If you go to their site there is a link to their forum.

Also you could try Spouthport Library.

Oh, Germaine, that's wonderful. Thank you so much for the information. First thing tomorrow I'll be a busy bee!

We've been enjoying a lovely warm spell here in Yorkshire - I hope it's been the same for you.

Thanks again, with best wishes, from Beryl xx
