I know that but i am just trying to see if i can find a match for Gordons parents and working on assumption try to take the family back a bit further.

I know in end i will have to buy certificates to be certain but with just having to tax the car and now MOT it i cant afford to buy cert at the mo.

Even if a marriage is found between Stratton/Norman

To know for definite its the right one you'll need Gordons B/C

Trying to be a cheapskate and find the parents of Gordon Leonard Norman with out buying the birth cert. Gordon was born april-june quater 1919 Walsingham (Norfolk) MMN Stratton.

Have searched the complete marriage index on Ancestry for a marrige between a Stratton and a Norman but only one i found was in Cornwall.

Anyone who fancy a challenge willing to have a look and see if they can find a possible marriage.
