Hi Alice

Yes, that is another line to check.
Just searched the 1851 census for her, with no luck so either she has married, emigrated, or died. Thanks for your ideas.

Regards Cynthia

Hi all
Thanks for all the replies, the 1841 seems correct, Like you I cannot understand why only one child is in a Charity school, and not the others, Hannah was born 29/02/1828 and christened in Saint Mary St Marylebone 26/05/1828 found that info on IGI.

I am wondering why, if the list that Alice gave for 1841 is the right family, the 2nd daughter was in the school but not the 3rd. The oldest was probably kept at home to help care for the younger children.
Do you have a m cert for Hannah? That would give fathers name and occupation.

That Thomas on the 1841 looks like he was a Smith

Have you looked at Parish Registers for the baptism of Hannah? That would give the name of the parents and the fathers occupation, plus their abode.

Hi Alice and Julie
Thanks for your replies, Thomas's occupation is given as a "Smith", what I'm trying to prove that they are Hannahs parents, Mann is a common name and I could be going up the wrong tree. Cynthia

Theres a Hannah Mann age 13 born 1828 listed in the above school, and I think she was a boarder.
I'm trying to find her parents, who I think could be a Thomas Mann 1801 born in Marylebone and Sarah Mann, 1802 her maiden name was Davis
How can I confirm that Thomas and Sarah were her parents. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Cynthia
