hi all, i hope someone out there can help me, this is what i have on this family
james holmwood b 1813 rotherfield ,sx ,wife lousia callow b 1818 rotherfield,sx,the 2 youngest children lottie b1859 new york ..frank b 1861 new york all show up onthe 1880 usa census as living in east hamburg, erie, new york.
what i cant find is weather the eldest 4 children went with them..they are sarah b 1839 buxted sx...james b 1841 buxted sx...henry b 1844 buxted ,sx and samuel. b 1849 buxted sx.
they must have left for the usa between 1849/59,but without worldwide ancestry i cant find them.i thank you for any help you can give me,iris

Just found this in a Buffalo, New York newspaper. Unfortunately can't cut & paste it.

MRS. LOUISE HOLMWOOD 91 YEARS OLD DIES AT EAST AURORA

East Aurora, November 14,
Mrs Louise Holmwood died last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs Elliot Hambleton. Mrs Holmwood was born at Crowborough, Sussex County, England in 1816. She came to this country in 1840? and has been a continuous resident of Erie County since 1851?
She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Frank B. Nye, Mrs. Charlotte Hambleton, East Aurora; James Holmwood, William Holmwood, Buffalo; Mrs. Cornelia Holmes, Frank F. Holmwood, Orchard Park; and Mrs. Sarah Smith of Minden, Neb.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hambleton. Burial at Friend's Cemetery, Orchard Park, NY.

No, Theresa, unfortunately they just cover Northern New York State, not even as far south as New York City.

margaret, if frank was a millionaire he was the first and last one in my family. the rest have all been ag/labs, and dirt poor ones at that.iris
