Some people delete their own replies when they realize it's duplicating what someone else has already found or if they see that they've got the wrong family. I've done it myself.

Yesterday afternoon I posted a message on this Board. I received a number of replies (thankyou all). Unfortunately, I had to go off line sooner than I'd anticipated. This afternoon I've gone back to my Thread and found that a couple of the replies are now missing! There are though, a couple of ' this reply has been deleted by the Administrator or Poster' or words to that effect.

None of the replies that I received were offensive or rude - so why have they gone?
