Has anyone got any ideas how to go about finding my ancestor James Brooks the last i can find on him is as a witness at his brother lewis's wedding in 1884 but from then on there is nothing about him not on the census records or BMD records (i havent been able to find him anyway). Could he have left the country, been in prison or in the army any ideas

Did he die?
Go on freebmd and look for his death after 1881 in the district he was in in 1881
