l have searched for the b/cert for Fredk Mierau/Meirau/Merian.born apx 1896 re censurs 1901.although l have a birth of a daughter Ada 1896.so lt might not be the right date.l also have a son Robert Theodore born 1894,and l know they are right because l have their b/certs. lm just missing Fredks.parents were John Theodore Mierau/Ada Rixon can anyone kindly help

yes shirley thats the one g/father in law changed his surname and even his first name from child to child the only thing that is certain that he married Ada Rixon and he was german seaman.and all the b/certs l have have mother Ada Rixon the only one l cant trace is Fredk.and its only taken me nearly 2 years to find them regards B

i,m struggling to find frederick under any variation of the name at the mo. have done a random search on Freebmd just asking for all fredericks west ham 1894-1896 and that hasnt come up with him. looking at ancestry at the mo.

thanks Shirley,l known the childred sometimes changed their ist names just for a change Janet used the name Jeanette Queen.after she got marriedbut liked to be called Queenie and Theodore on the cens. was Robert as l found him on his mc. so anything is possible. regard B
