but how about records from 1901,I've got a few addresses which I got from marriage certs, 'residence at time of marriage',bearing that in mind re.which subscription and if it would be a good route to find other family members of the bride and groom... talking 1907-1939... any thoughts..

Ancestry without a doubt! I have used both sites and Reggie is absolutely right, there are a lot more records to be found on Ancestry and I found it a lot more user friendly than findmypast.

Ancestry...........in my opinion

It has all the censuses, and all England/Wales bmd's.

findmypast offers address search on the censuses it holds, plus overseas bmd's for British subjects.....but if you don't need those records, Ancestry is much better.

I was just about to buy a subscription to Ancestary.co.uk then recieved an offer for findmypast.com...any advice on which one is better. Thanks
