need more eyes again.I have a Arthur Valentine that married in Apr/May/Jun quarter in 1916.His son William Coleman Valentine was born 1918.It looks like the marriage and the birth was in Basford?I can not find Basford.I have found a Basford Green.Any help would be appreciated. Annie

On the online map I use (Memory-Map) there is Old Basford and New Basford - both near each other right in the centre of Nottingham.

Basford Green is in Staffordshire, so I think it's the Nottingham one you want.

Thank you very much.I am helping my daughters boyfriend do his tree and dont want to set him off wrong before we have hit the census lol. Annie

If you go to Free BMD and find the marriage and click on Basford it tells you that Basford spans the boundaries of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Incidentally the bride's name was Hilda G. Lawrence.
