Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 442 Send Message	Hey Everyone, I just received a birth certificate that i ordered and the child's surname is Bailey and under mother's maiden name is says caroline elizabeth bailey and under fathers name there is nothing, and under fathers occupation there is nothing. I am thinking the child was illegitimate. Does anyone know any other reasons why the father may not be listed? Thanks

	No father named means the child is illegitimate. Sue

	As the mother was not married, there can be no other conclusion drawn.......... Reg
