My Grandad married 2 sisters too!
I have just had to add it in the notes section.
Seems it was not so very unusual after all!!

I have second cousins marrying so one grandfather and one gr grandfather are one and the same and entered twice on this tree. Frustrating or what? On my PAF file I can link them.

You cannot do it on the genes tree build facility.
You can however do this on a family tree program on your home computer.
This sorts no end of complicated marriages.
You can export your gedcom from genes and import in to the program make the changes then export the new gedcom back to genes and names are then only shown once.

There are quite a few free programs you can download to do this.

Legacy is a good free one.

You can upload it but the GR tree still does not display correctly.

you will have one sister on twice cos the genes tree cant cope with that.
I have the same where the grt gran married her cousin and when he died she married his elder bro who had previously been married to her younger sister!!. can ony add them as new spouses each time and add in the notes what the connection was.
I believe if you have your tree on another tree programme which can cope with it then you can upload that tree to genes and it works that way. havent tried it though.

What's the best way to show this in my tree?

I have a relative whose wife died and he went on to marry her sister.
I can't see an easy way of showing this in my tree, I end up with one of the sisters in the tree twice. Anyone have any smart ideas?

Thanks for your help!
