Please can anyone help me find out what happened to Frank Purchase, born 1875 in Lasham Hampshire. I have him on the 1891 census as an ag lab. but after that he has disappeared. Story goes in the family that he was killed in a street accident in London but I can find no death anywhere. Family never knew what happened to him really, and this information has only come about through contact with another Genes member, who is distantly related. I would be grateful for any help, Sylvia

No afraid it is all surmise, but he wasnt on the 1901 census. Recent contact suggested that the info we have about being killed in accident was told them by police - but there again I dont know if that is right. It is a complete mystery and I would love to solve it somehow. Thanks for trying for me. Sylvia

Thanks Chris, the spelling is different, but the age is close, might be worth looking into that one

Many thanks, Sylvia

Thanks Mellie, I know there was a large family of Purchase's in Yeovil area, and I dont think they are connected, or at least I havent found a link yet , but I might pursue the death you found, its just possible he moved right away. What should I do next, look at electoral rolls or something, or get a certificate.
