thanks for you replys,

carole,
i have downloaded photofiltre, i'm now having a mess around with it, it looks quite good!

i also have software that came with my HP copier/scanner/printer combined, but it would never work so i downloaded the latest version, it was driving me mad loosing my photos, then i would shut it down, when re-opened they were back, so i must be doing something wrong! anyway i got fed up with it, so i don't use it, i still have picasa--have to admit i do like that one, i also have photoscape, that's a good one too, as i aid i like a challenge!!
Chris.

Like you Chris, I use a range. I find Picasa good. I had editing software come with my Canon camera & with my HP scanner. Both programs have advantages & disadvantages.

I've also just been given Photo Shop 7 but haven't got into it yet.

I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro10 which is great for basic editing but also good for restoring old photo's. Also Adobe Photshop 7 but I find that harder to use but has the same funtions as Pro 10, both compat with Vista

Hi Chris

I have tried several which I had problems with, then I bought a new camera which had software with it - called Dixons Photoshoot - this is far and away the easiest to use that I have found.

I tried Picasa, but it made my computer so slow I deleted it again.

Hi Chris,

A while ago, a GR member from Canada recommended a photo editing program, Photofiltre, which can be downloaded for free from:

http://channels.lockergnome(.)com/windows/archives/20050927_photofiltre_v615(.)phtml

[remove brackets]

It has lots of tools, so may be worth a try.
