Does anyone have access to searches in the Cambridge area? I have managed to trace my family to Robert William Plane born in Cambridge in 1905 - am awaiting his birth certificate - but have come up against brick walls everywhere else. Help

Robert

Once you have Roberts B/C armed with his parents names you could ask for a look-up on here to see if anyone can pick them up in the census

There is a website for the Cambridgeshire Family History Society that has got a "searchable indexes" section which might be helpful.

Robert, I've checked the Camdex site and the Baptism Index but couldn't find a Robert William Plane, so maybe he wasn't actually born in Cambridgeshire.

Once you have his Birth Cert., you'll have a lot more info., to work with.

I have the Birth, Marriage and Burial Indeces for Cambridgeshire.
