Is the County Diocesean (Parish Records) Office for these events in your locality, I think it would have to be in the area in which the event took place, as I found one I wanted in there from 1902. So if you live away from Essex or SE London then its a bit more difficult, I dont know of any way other than that I have described.

well i was lookingfor 2 inquest reports one for 1907 in essex & one for 1919.SE London

Enquired at the London Metroplitan archives and told none kept before 1929 and then only about 10% from then anyway.

Hello Michael,
The local Coroner's Office also told me there was little reason to maintain Inquest Reports although some may have been archived but only the more recent ones, 1950's onwards.
The local paper printed the outcome of the Inquest I was looking for.

I wanted to find an inquest report of an ancestor that died in 1905. I contacted the local library to where the person died and someone from the archives there said that inquests were printed in the local paper. She said that inquests were just held in public places and were not held in a coroners court like they are now. As far as I know they are not online. They were very helpful to me and sent a copy of the article at no cost.
