how do i get a birth certificate

The only way is to buy the cert - no libraries have them.

you can order it by phone or post but will cost a little more.

thank you i have just tried to order the birth certificate but unfortunately they dont accept visa electron can u get access to the records any other way like a library

You can order it on line through the General Record Office website for £7 using the ref numbers including District, Year, Quarter, Vol and Page

i have been told some information from one of the lovely helpers on this site including the volume and page number of a birth how do i now go about getting the actual information do i need to order a copy of the certrificate if so where from and do i need the volume and page number
