	Thank you, Carol. I know there is a Clay Cross in Derbyshire - I have another ancestor from that area, so I wonder if it mutated from that.

	Has anyone heard of this place? I have been following up the family of my great-aunt by marriage, Edith Edna Eaton (now deceased). The 1901 census says her dad Samuel Chappell Eaton was born in 1870 in Warsop, Notts, and her mother Hannah (possibly Holmes) was born in Derbyshire, in a place that looks like it's spelt "Prass" but I cannot find Hannah on any other census and I cannot find anything that looks like Prass on a map. Does anyone know of a place it could have been misheard for?
