The Collectionscanada site here:

http://search-recherche.collectionscanada.ca/archives/search.jsp?Language=eng

has immigration records between 1925-1935 and attestation papers for soldiers of WW1 which gives birthdate and place.

Automated genealogy here:

http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/index.html

has the 1901 and 1911 Canadian censuses.

American censuses are available on Ancestry up until 1930. You can ask for a look-up.

Hi Margaret
Thank you for this info as I wasn't aware that USA census records were avaiable up to 1930.
