Thank you for that. I have been onto them straight away. Apparently records before 1920 are now public domain anyway.

Both my Dad and his dad served during both wars. Whereas I have quite a lot of info about my Dad, I would still like to find out more.

On WDYTYA on Thursday night, they managed to obtain an individual war record for someone. I didn't know you could do this.

How would I go about getting my Dad's and his father's war records? I have their regiments and service numbers so is there an actual address/website I can contact to purchase these?

I am thinking that maybe this was something that can only be obtained for the likes of TV programmes and not by an individual.
