This is from BVRI. Could it be them? She was previously married and her father's name is Bowers.

I’m searching for the marriage of George Ayers b abt 1836 BEDFORD Bedfordshire England and Sarah Bowell b abt 1830 HARROW Middlesex England.
They had their 1st child abt 1856 in Harrow Middlesex England
I’ve searched from 1850 onwards and can find no record of a marriage despite looking under a different spelling for Ayers (Ayres). I am sure they married as the 1881 census shows a James Bowell, living with the family and he is named as George’s “father in law”. This is also the reason I know the bride’s maiden name.
I’ve even asked for a search at the GRO which drew a blank.
Any suggestions as to what to try next?
