Hi
I am trying to trace someone who was put up for adoption in the late 1960 early 1961.

I am almost sure the birth took place in Preston Lancashire. The Mother was in the unmarried mothers home at Westcliffe, Preston, Lancashire.

The birth mother was called Frances Mary McGovern, Frances was also adopted her name before adoption was Fred Alexander. I have managed to trace this side of the family.

I have tried to trace the birth of the baby using both McGovern and Alexander but have had no luck. (may be I have missed it)

If anyone could point me in the right direction on what to do next I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Janet
