Could someone help me by looking at an original image for the 1901 census. It's Mary McGinn, barrow in Furness, born ireland c1872. I can't read the middle word of the occupation but I think I may be expecting miracles with reading it to be honest.

Thank you in advance.
Liz

I would say it's paper finisher checker.

Hi Liz,

I think it is 'Paper Finisher, Checker'.

The F looks like the F at the top of the page 'Barrow in F'.

Best wishes,
Lynn

Hmm could well be, and that big squiggle is over it and not part of it. I thought it was a g but it might not be part of the word. Why did they have to scrawl over them? lol.

Thanks,
Liz
