Thanks for your replies.

It seems the best way around this is to change the Browser. I'll try the Firefox as recommended by MGH (but will wait till son gets home tonight to do it - as I don't want to mess up anything).

Maureen, I hope yours remains okay as I don't think it has anything to do with Windows 98 or XP.

Thanks again.

Really strange as I used to have the same problem on Ancestry but I thought it was my old computer - it was running on Windows98.

Do not remember problems when using any other site.

Hi, Occasionally had a problem with my browser back and forward arrows when using Ancestry Website only, but was able to get around it. Since my BT Yahoo Browser has been updated, whenever I go on Ancestry the Back/Forward Arrows suddenly disappear and I have to come on and off the website to get them back for each search - its driving me crazy! If anyone can advise me what to do in a very simple explanation then I would be very grateful. If no one can help I will contact Ancestry as last resort, only in past experience they gave me a completely useless reply. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Just noticed it has now happened using this site as well! Help!

Will check back later.
