Hi,
just to let everyone who tried to help me with my speakers that it has been sorted and i now have "sound"!
what a relief!!!

what i think happened is---when the workmen were doing the re-wire, they moved the PC and must of jolted it, i always move it carefully.

anyway thanks to everyone who replied with there suggestions.

Hi Everyone, just to let you know, i have been to my local PC shop this morning and the bloke is going to call later and see whats wrong, he asked if the computer had been moved? i said it had, so he says it could be that the sound card has dislodged, and i'm not confident enough to take the back off the PC!! but when he comes i'll ask him to show me what to do incase it happens again.
anyway, thanks for everyones help, i'll let you know what happens.

Chris.

Yes I know how you feel I have a flat screen 17 monitor my son set up for me which they gave me for a present after he had gone I had no sound he said press the sound button on the side bar of the monitor could I see it as its black so I have to feel for them now and raise or lower the volume that way

the only way for yours is try replugging the wires or like me thump the speakers as you could have a loose wire

Oh Chris, isnt it sods law - I do feel for you. Im sure its something really simple - do you have any young people in the house or relatives - they seem to be able to bung things about and suddenly it all works again.

Perhaps you are more savvy than me - but I did this once - didnt have the speakers on for weeks then one of my sons came, and I heard music! Id just not pushed the power button on the master speaker or something.

Sadly no Chris. Try unplugging and replugging them again and check you have the sound button on.

can anyone help with this please?
for the last 2 days i have been having some re-wireing done on my house, so i had to unplug all of my PC and cover it up because of the dust, last night i connected every thing up again, but there is no sound coming from my speakers, they were ok before tho! everything else is working ok, does anyone have any idea why this has happened?
thanks,
Chris.
