It's definitely Newfield and I'm pretty sure it says Street, but in the description of the enumeration district it actually says Newfield Buildings rather than Newfield Street.

Hannah

I think it says Newfield Street

Looking a few pages before where the Hoods are listed the writing is slightly better (but only slightly!!)

Don't jump the gun, Betty! My reply had a whole bunch of question marks. I even went forward 3 pages but still not sure.

Thanks Betty. Where it says "street address" it just says "see image"- bit of a pain really!

Hi Hannah,

Doesn't it also give you the printed information as well, maybe you would be able to read street name from that.

p.s. Sorry I don't have Ancestry

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to read the street name on a census from 1891 and i cant make out what it says at all. Could someone have a quick look for me and see what they think?
If you search for Caroline Hood, born 1839, she is the head of the family, in sandbach, cheshire. Also living with her is joseph, william, mary J, caroline, and fred.
Thank you!!
