when i get time i'll investigate this couple further as to where they lived etc it would be interesting to see what happened to them.

How wonderful of you to 'rescue' those items.

Wish they were my family.

It always amazes me what people get rid of...such precious things like that.

At least some people realize that somebody will want them...even if they sell on ebay.....far better than just going in the bin.

Hope somebody claims them as their ancestors...that would be really something to feel proud of. Good on you!

i got up really early this morning and went to a boot fair in east sussex and there sitting on a table was The Times newspaper for the whole of the year 1888.the cover is a bit tatty but was pleased with my find.

also found a photo of a thomas and emily shepherd and a bible of thomas shepherd dated 2nd june 1860.
so if anyone has this people as their ancestors and would like them pls let me know.
