Hi i wonder if anyone could advice me if there is a way of finding out about a courtmartial other than by going to kew to view army records.
My grandmothers brother was once a corporal but was court martialled and reduced in ranks to private. he served in the royal dublin fusiliers and he died in 1918 in belgium age 29 years.
i cant find his pension records on ancestry but that is probabaly because he died in battle and i dont think he had any family. i have found his medal card on archives and that is how i found out about his court martial.
thanks linda

As far as I know, Kew is the only place. But, if you contact the regimental museum for his regiment, they MAY have something.

You'd have to get someone to go there for you, I'm afraid. I can recommend someone if you decide to go down this road.
