Hi Reggie,

Thanks for your response.
No she was not married to my grandfather as he was already married.

I take it she wasn't married to your grandfather?

What was grandads name and when was the eldest child born? Where are they likely to have married? Where have you looked so far for the marriage? The complete bmd index on ancestry or find my past?

I take it gran is deceased now - does anyone have a rough idea when? What was her birth date then and her married name? Do you have any other living relatives who you can ask for all the details they may have on the family?

Hi,

I am trying to trace my grandmother and i have come to a bit of a dead end.
I have all her background information such as parents names and occupations, school and birth cert. The last trace i have her is in 1951 when she would have been 22/23.I have done searches for marriage and death certs but have come up with nothing.

I am unsure of how to go about the next stage of my research.
If anyone has any tips or advice for me it would be greatly appreciated, unfortunatley i can not afford a professional to help with my search so i want to try and do as much as i can myself.
Thank you

Emily
