Native Americans to UK

Anyone have any idea how to find out any details about any Native Americans coming to the UK?
There is a strong rumour in my family of a connection but I think it may be buried beyond recognition. The surnames connecting are Legg, Kimber and Hine in the Bournemouth/Southampton/Portsmouth area.
It's a long shot, I know, but would appreciate any help. I think we are talking somewhere between 1900 and 1915.

The only reference Ive found was by accident when I saw in a census what I assume was some sort of travelling show and a number of lodgers shown as Natives!

You should have a google to see what you can find.
