my great grandfather died between 1901 to 1911. i was told by an aunt that he died from t.b. as i seem to have trouble tracking down a death certificate for him in the area that he lived. would it be that his death was in a different area altogether. On the 1901 census he lived at 107 ynyscynon rd civil parish of ystradyfadog wales. i cant find any information on contagious diseases? help would be fantastic. thanks

Hi Ingrid
Think your ggf was in the Rhondda mining valleys area,so generally would be looking in Glamorgan and South East Wales, but boundaries have changed greatly, and would agree try a 'wide sweep' search best .By the way if you google ( UK search) ynyscynon 1901, you will get up an entry for Ystradyfodwg genuki with many possible useful links.
best wishes Christine
