Just sent a long complicated message to a contact, and the genes system has neither sent nor saved it - all that was sent/saved is the first line. SOB!! Will have to rewrite and hope that gets through..........!!

That's a shame Maggie. If you re-write it and it's long and complicated, I would copy and paste it into Word before sending it. That way if the same thing happens at least you won't have to type it all out again.

aha!!!

Little tip!!

If you left click and scroll down as if copying, altho it looks like you are copying the page, when you paste into doc or other, you get the concealed message!!!!

Message is still there - just the display that's screwed up!!

I've just had a thought. If we are all having this problem, then when Genes fix it you might find that the whole of the message was actually sent.

I would leave it for a while before re-writing to see if the problem is solved.

I had the same thing happen to me when i tried to post a response to a thread. It was a very long response with a lot of research but it disappeared when i tried to submit it and got sent back to homepage. I tried to go back but it was gone. I could have cried!

Just to let you know - I had the same problem and I hit the print button on the bottom left and it displayed all the message - I didn't have to print it as I just hit the back button out of it

hope that makes sense!

Hi

Having trouble reading messages too, every one, both the ones I have sent and the ones I have received are just one liners.

Tried some of the suggestions but the one which actually worked for me was the print one, hope they get it sorted soon.

Well the print idea DID work, now I have gone back to re read my message and cant even get a response on the print button, oh well, suppose I will have to wait till they stop messing around at Genes. Patience is a bit low though at the moment as it is the one afternoon I thought I would dedicate to my family tree, to get it in some sort of order. Not a happy bunny!!!

Just a thought...

Maybe one of the witches they've let out has been tampering with the screens
