Ancestry has virtually no Parish info.

The main on line source is the IGI....but that is not comprehensive, and can be inaccurate.

Ancestry is hugely worthwhile if your research is for 1837 onwards.

The UK sub is £79.95 for unlimited access for a year

Hi,need to delve into the parish records for Newcastle-upon -Tyne. As there is no chance of ever gettng to Newcastle libraries, anyone know what the next best option is?

Have steered clear of Ancestry.com purely because it's such a huge amount to pay out in one go and would be difficult for me to do so.
Is everything free once you have an annual membership? Do they include all parish records, publications, as well as BMDs and Census info?
Thinking that when the rellies do the usual 'What do you want for christmas?' I could ask them to make a contribution towards subscription to it but want to get peoples opinions as to whether it's worth it or not?
