We bought a wide screen TV recently its a Panasonic plasma, not very big but ok for use.
Anyway a message keeps coming up an the creen and we just exit it Can anyone tell me what this is please.
Message says:-

New version 5.550 Found
Do you really want to update the software and reboot the system?
Press OK to download the new version Press Exit to ignore.

Any idea what this is please, should I phone the shop and get someone to come out and check this, the message just comes up now and again.

This shouldn't really be on this board...but

Don't fiddle with anything........you'll invalidate your guarantee.

Get a professional to sort it for you

Sorry Reg,

Wasn't quite sure where to put this as I was needing tips but for a television.

Anyway thanks for your reply, will not fiddle with anything, just contact Curry's and get them to sort it out. Thanks for your advice.
