Blue ball,Asheridge

Does anyone know anything of the history of the blue ball, Asheridge near Chesham, Bucks? Only my grandfather was born there.

Just had a quick look at Asheridge in 1901 census. Very small place in Chartridge parish I think. Did not spot an Inn at all. If you go into Genuki website you will find a wealth of detail for the whole of England. Click England first, then County then A to Z of place names. A quick look did not show Asheridge but you should try links to local record office etc. If family were publicans in census period follow them by name. Because of Licensing acts records can be traced. Hope this helps a bit
