Jane, how weird! Its a definate possibility but all the children were registered in Greenwich, up until the last one in 1915.

I'm not sure but I will bear it in mind.

Thanks for looking, its appreciated.

selena
maybe the only way is to get that death cert.children were described as daughter of, and the Dads name, so you will know if its the right one. you could specilfy a check point of her fathers name when you order and if its not correct you will get a £4 refund

That sounds a possibility to me.
My gt gt uncles switched their names around to confuse me, or dropped the name by which I knew them and called themselves other things.

I have Louisa Bateman born 1900 on the 1901 census in Deptford.

She is there with her parents Charles & Caroline and sisters Annie and Alice.

I can't find a birth or death for Louisa. She was my nan's sister (Nan born 1903). My mum and aunt has no knowledge of her at all.

There's an Emily Louise Bateman born Dec 1899, dies age 2 Dec 1901.

Have I missed anything or is Louisa really Emily Louise?

Any thoughts,

Selena
