Would someone please look up ANDREW AMUNDSEN c1849. In the 1880 Census he is in Salt Lake with his 2 wives, Elizabeth and Mary Jane (who are sisters)

In the 1880 Census, each wife has one child, and they are shown under each wife - if you follow what I mean. Hopefully this will be the same in later Census and I will be able to confirm all the children I have for them with the right mothers.

Am also wondering when I enter all these names and dates, if my tree program will blow up! lol It's already confused about having 2 wives alive at the same time.

'Tis interesting to note that he doesnt show with both wives in the later census. Presumably she shows somewhere else seperately, with her children?

Unfortunately I dont know enough about Mormon history to know when they started "hiding" the 2nd/3rd etc wives but I guess it must have been around the turn of the century. lol But if they had over 20 children between them, I suppose they would need 2 houses.

familysearch.org is a mormon site that has searches etc it will probably have info on mormon history ,

my nans sister and her family are mormons and have done a lot of work on the family tree, none of them have 2 wives though as far as i know
