Does anyone know how & where I can find out about Childrens Homes or Orphanages in Cardiff during 1923/1925. Would records be kept & how would I access them?

Thanks Glynis

Diane

Hi Glynis,

Nazareth House was a childrens home run by the nuns--not sure where in Cardiff it was.

Northlands was in North Rd,Cardiff--i think that was run by the Salvation Army.(an aunt was adopted from here in 1927).

Ely Childrens Home,Cowbridge Rd West,Cardiff.

Not sure when these places closed.

Maybe the local records office would have some information.

Good luck in your search.
