Was trying to follow up suggestion that I might find death record of Michael Hayes (died between 1914 and 1927) in the Findmypast web site. On searching I find that the list shows "soldiers died in Great War". Does anyone know if this is a general title or would I find this person who was in Royal Navy?
Don't have subscription to this web site.
My Michael Hayes was born Co. Cork and was last found as a Stoker Petty Officer on HMS Nymph in 1914. Family lived in Devonport area in England.

Thank you

Have you tried the CWGC? If he was killed in action, he may be on there....

Thank you for all suggestions. Still a bit of a puzzle as all the pieces don't fit!
