I have searched through Marriage records for Thomas Tyson 1853 his wife is called Mary, no maiden name, born 1855 both of them in Kendal, both still there in 1881 census.They have four children the oldest is 8yrs old. I have checked marriages from 1876 through 1878, to no avail, can someone please help me, or tell me where I have gone wrong.

1881 minus 8 = 1873.

You need to look earlier.........
