Thank you for the help. Sorry to take so long to get back. Its hard to know if there has been a reply to a post and I forget if not reminded. I have found that the Glassite records have not survived and Episcopal records are at NAS which I cant visit. This particular family is probably lost forever. Cheers

Have a google - always google for any information. You may find somewhere the records are available on line.

GlassĀ“ite
n. 1. A member of a Scottish sect, founded in the 18th century by John Glass, a minister of the Established Church of Scotland, who taught that justifying faith is "no more than a simple assent to the divine testimone passively recived by the understanding." The English and American adherents of this faith are called Sandemanians, after Robert Sandeman, the son-in-law and disciple of Glass.

Can anyone tell me what a Glassite is? I have an ancestor, surname Alexander, who were Glassites. Did they baptise children? I can only find 1 baptism for this family of about 13 children, Late 1700`s +Does anyone know where the Episcopal church records for Cupar Fife are held? Pam
