Cara,

In the top tips on the left of this page you will find an advanced search. If you put in some appropriate key words, such as "German", you should find some useful threads on the subject.

Try this site. If it doesn't work, google German parish records on-line.

I have traced my family history back to Germany with John Schneider born 1828 in Marburg.

Does any one know if they is any way to reasearch Germany ancestry without visiting Germany?

As well as researching further back in my Schneider family history I would also like to know if I can find out why they moved to England.

Thanks for any help

Cara Hughes (nee Schneider)
