Hoffy the Snowman...well thats the monica he is using as I type...Has been and checked on an address where my great grandmother lived in 1901..it is still there. I would live to know more about the house and its previous occupants, can someone give me some hints as to the best way to go about this please.

Do you mean previous to now...or to 1901?

With an address you could check old electoral rolls and plot the voter occupants through the years.

Dont forget sometimes streets are renumbered occaisionally, its worth checking that is the house, Local Library or Council offices.

Gwyn,

I would love to know who has lived there since my great grandmother in 1901. As I live in the south of the country a visit to Liverpool is not on. The rest of my lot came from the Poplar, Hackney areas of London and that was well and truely bombed in the war. I have obtained an OS map of that part of London for the dates I need, so at least I can map them fairly well against the AtoZ.
