Nellie is also a name in it's own right.

Hi Everyone, thanks for your thoughts. I had found a Helen which matched although I was told she was called Nellie, so I think I'm on the right track, incidentially Ellen was also a family name so shall bear that in mind too. Thanks again everyone and good hunting. Lou

My Aunt was known as Nellie and her name was Eileen.

Hi can someone please tell me what the christian name of Nellie or Nella is short for? I have heard it before but for the life of me I can't remember. thanks Lou
