I found this site by googling 'Bridewell Hospital':

They appear to hold lots of records of admissions and discharges, including those for criminals.

They also tell you where to find records for Bridewell Hospital that they don't hold.

Oh that is a shame .
Did you try putting in the persons name.
Perhaps as Sam says try the local records office direct see if they hold records they may charge for a search but will tell you first if they have them available.

I did try that Germaine, it tells me all about the prison but not the inmates

Hi Linda I put Bridewell hospital in a2a and some results came up i don't know if they will be what you are looking for but may be worth a try.
also a couple came up with Bridewell prison put in separetly

I don't know where Bridewell is but I would imagine that the lcoal Records Office should be your first port of call.

Does anyone know how/where I can get information on an inmate, I have tried www.victorianlondon.org/prisons.citybridewell without success.
