Hi
I am trying to help a friend who would like to trace members of or information about her birth family. It is possible that her birth mother is still alive although she could be in her 80's or 90's. I have found a name match for her mother and this person lives in a part of the country that could match up with information my friend has about where her mother went after she had my friend adopted. Information I have been able to glean from limited online information from the electoral rolls for 2002-2006 suggest that she is living on her own but there is no other information available on the website. Knowing her age would rule her in or out as a possibility, but apart from travelling a long way to check the electoral rolls in person, I can see no other way of obtaining this information. Can anyone help?

If you give us names, dates and places maybe somebody could help.

My friend's birth mother was called Dorothy (or possibly Dorothea) Adelaide Beale and she was a nurse in Aylesbury during the war and in Luton in the Chase Nursing home in 1945, the year my friend was born and adopted privately.

ER's do not carry any personal details.........only the name and address of the individual.

Thanks Reggie. We'll just have to try something else. If anyone else can offer any other suggestions that would be much appreciated.

Would Hospital records show the names of Nurses? or the Royal College of Nursing. A letter in the area local paper might help.
