I'm fairly sure my great great grandfather was illegitimate as on his baptism record his mother has the same surname as him and the father is listed with a different name.
sam manning harvey mother emma harvey, father george smy.
Where can i find out any info on them I can't find any bastardy orders for george in the district of bosmere where they were in mickfiekd suffolk. Any ideas?

Is the father´s name SMY, is that what is on cert?

I haven't seen the cert but it is smy in the parish records baptism register.

When was she born?

im not sure but i know of an emma harvey born 1818 redlingfield suffolk which someone told me is sam mannings mother, but there are things that dont make sense further back
