Thanks very much all for your help. Coming from Australia I get very confused about the parishes, districts, towns etc. As her father was deceased she may have gone to live with relatives, I will search for his death. It stated she was 68 when she died in Wirral. Thanks again.
Cheers
Beth

The fact that her death was registered in Wirral district is no indication of where she was born.

You may need to consider that her birth was elsewhere.

Hi
I have hit a brick wall with my grandmothers birth - Florence Chapman. I have found her death in 1957 stating the district was Wirral. I have found her marriage at age 23 to George Nicholas Cooke in 1912. I have reveived the certificate from the registry office which states her fathers name was John Chapman & he was an engineer. I have found 4 Florence Chapmans. I have checked some of the 1891 census's for her and can't seem to match any of these records. Can anyone give me any ideas where I can go from here. Can I check electoral records?
Thanks
Beth
