Hi
Thanks for your replies, he was the firstborn and his father enlisted in 1912/1915
but on his War pensions page it stated he had served in the late 1880`s with a different Welsh Regiment and he had been "bought Out" His father had died in 1886 and he was the eldest living son maybe service was in Africa-did consider the Zulu or Boer Wars but will have to check his service Record again Maybe if I could find his first Regiment it would help. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction and agree Daisychain ¬ground beneath my feet" does sound nice

also says it is an obsolete Teutonic word meaning "ground beneath my feet". Rather nice I think.

I have a great uncle born 1899 in Wales with this as his middle name I thought it was a misprint or mispelt but have copy birth cert back this week and it`s the correct spelling. His daughter is still alive and said he was always called Dan actually named Reginald Nianza Carey!!!!!!
Googled and came up loads of Italian so no good,
