Missing Parents

I need some help and advise on finding the parents of my 3x gtgrandad Robert Orr. His death cert has no parents named, probably because he was murdered, so I am struggling to trace him before 1851 when he is in Paisley with his wife Marrion, I have their marriage in 1849 but nothing before then. I am not sure of his DOB it varies from 1824-7 depending on which document you use, the 1851 census gives birth place of Kilmarnock. I can't go any further back without his parents, but am at a dead end how to find them!! Any help and advise would be wonderful

From Parish records Jan tried to find Roberts birth on these using Scotlands people but no joy

Thanks Jan and Sue yes I have viewed both Marriage records they are the same! Robert died in 1858 so I have just the 1851 census that is definately him. I suppose I can try to find the Robrts in the 2 you have suggested to see if they are possibilities! Have to finish feeding the kids first!! then I'll get on to it

Just updating; discounted the Beith one that Robert still around Beith in 1851, the 1830 kilmarnock one is more promising even if dob a bit wrong, can't find that Robert in1851 looking for rest of family, if any of you have time to look as well it would be a big help!

Robert Orr born 1830 looks promising But I'm struggling to pin down his parents or siblings after 1841 census, they areWilliam 1796 born scotland, jean 1796,james 1826,john 1836, mary 1832,william1840, all born Ayrshire, would anyone be kind enough to have a look for them

Thanks Jan for trying I will join that forum as you suggest, I've got a busy week ahead so not in a hurry for answers and I've looked for his parents for so long now abit longer wont make any difference!!!
