I have had some contact recently from other members who have had hot matches with my tree. Three of the names don't appear in my tree at all and it is awkward trying to explain this to the other members. I am sure they think I am being obstructive because genes have sent them the hot match but I'm really not. I am just as puzzled as they are.

I get rogue ones too.
Annoying though; especially when they come in multiples and you get all excited for nothing.

I have yet to learn how to delete.
All I can do is hide them.

Well yes, that would help :)

But at least we can now delete the duff ones without having to start from page 1 again - LOL

Its great when it matches at least the name and date!!!

I have to say the lay out of the hot matches is so much better now isnt it.

Sorry for late reply had to leave for work, I have no hot matches at all now when I look at the hot match screen, and I had quite a few pages before,maybe it is to do with the fact I have imported my tree again (with only one person difference), although last time I did this my tree status said importing if it hadnt finished and my hot matches werent affected,now it just says normal.

I got my email with the others before I re did my tree and nothing at all matched. Never mind will just have to wait and see if I get some more some time.

Never mind the email, what do you see when you look on your Hot Match screen? There should be the name from your tree alongside the name from the other persons. The name and dob is supposed to match, but other details could be different.

Just received an email showing at least three hot matches, but nothing matches at all. Different name, place of birth and date of birth to anyone in my tree. Anyone else having this trouble or has Genes just gone mad with me?!!!
